Hmmmmm, not many young faces there. A collection of people living in yesteryear.

    • Impressive says:

that is a very unfair and disrespectful comment.. living in yesteryear??, Some of these people lived through the height of a very segregated and very unjust Bermuda.. They deserve respect, regardless of whether or not you agree with the political choices.. get a grip

  2. Handbag Basher says:

    waste of time!

  3. js says:

paula cox still looks shell shocked

@Handbag Basher – your just as bad!

‘serving to honour and thank the party veterans for their service over the years’

    • Handbag Basher says:

I’ve been told that all my life, tell me something I dont know!

  5. Devonshire says:

great to see Paula Cox hanging around, means the rumors are true that she will be announced soon as candidate for bye-election.

    • sonso says:

      which constituency will that be?

      • Media says:

Rumour had it that she was itching to take Glen Blakeney’s seat as he has health issues. There was apparently plenty of resistance to the idea. She must miss the political limelight. I don’t miss her hyperbole and often wondered what she had really said after many flowery words…never mind her downright loose control of the purse strings. I think the PLP are better off to move ahead without her baggage.

    • Robert says:

Yes, she has been out canvassing, or so I’ve been told.

    • Robert says:

I dont think it will be a bye-election. MP Smith will have to resign his seat for that to happen.

It’s a beautiful thing to see elders gathering together enjoying themselves, regardless of what the occassion is. (Today’s story of a senior being robbed is heartbreaking). Unfortunately, OBA can’t have one of these parties to celebrate “the party veterans who served over the years”……or can they? Lol

  7. Kangoocar says:

Seeing Laverne at this non event makes me want to coin the phrase from her, ” I don’t see anyone there that looks like me there???? “. I thought the plp were all inclusive??? At any OBA event you will see just about the same racial makeup of Bermuda!!! I think the plp has lied to me again???? Darn it I fell for it, NOT!!!!! It just baffles my mind when it comes to understanding people’s oblivience??? The plp put them back 50 yrs, which means all of them would have passed on before they get back to where they were before the plp were elected!!! You really can’t fix stupid??????

    • Sandy Bottom says:

It’s a very wide cross-section of every type of PLP supporter.

    • ABM says:

Not too bright are we. Me thinks a re-read of the article would be helpful to you and your comment.

  8. Devonshire says:

……be a little bit more patient, it will all play out before us all

  9. Really says:

Definitely a true all inclusive picture of Bermuda here wow still no lessons learnt
