Rugby: Bermuda Men & Women Defeat Jamaica

[Updated] Bermuda completed the double win over Jamaica today [Nov 9] with both the men’s and women’s teams romping to victory at the North American Caribbean Rugby Association’s 7s Tournament in the Cayman Islands.

The Bermuda women’s team [pictured below] defeated Jamaica 14-0, with Kelli Nusum and Mika Tomita scoring two tries, and the Bermuda men defeated Jamaica 12-7.

Today the Bermuda Women were scheduled to play three games today; the first against Trinidad & Tobago, then Jamaica, with their last game against Curacao.

The Bermuda Men played Mexico and Jamaica already, and are due to play BVI. Both T&T and Mexico were victorious in their first games against Bermuda, and the final two games have yet to be played.

The Women’s Team consists of Kelli Nusum, Erica Mcarthur, Deneka Borden, Mika Tomita, Jillian Smith, Anthi Xipolia, Amanda Swan, Karly Alleyne, Jessica Gilbert and Caroline Aberhart.

The Men’s Team includes Andre Landy, Richard Cumbers, Daniel Cole, Tashon Desilva, Keyanho Bean, Tommy Edwards, Henry Paddison, Tom Healy, Gareth Williams, Darren Richardson, Josh Deallie and Corey Boyce.

Update 6.04pm: The Bermuda Women have just finished their third game of the day, defeating Curacao 14-0.
