Businesses Host “Mothers Day In December”

December 9, 2013

In recognition of the toll that the holiday season can take on busy women who work overtime in order to ensure that the holiday season is a truly joyous one for their children and families, six local businesses have come together in order to surprise three mothers with gifts that are just for them this holiday season.

Angel Burgess, who owns A2Z shoes and Accessories in St. George’s, said, “With the Christmas season approaching we know that this can be a very stressful time for some mothers.”

“Many of them are trying to find a way to ensure that their kids have a good Christmas,” continued Ms Burgess.

“As a mother I understand the struggle that some of us are having, and it’s because of that myself along with five other business owners have decided to have an event named Mother’s Day in December.

“Mothers or family members will be asked to write in as to why their family member/mother should win. The letters will have to be dropped off at A2Z, Impression Hair Salon, or Mystiques. There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.

“The first place winner will win a full make over sponsored by A2Z, Impression hair salon, Mystiques, Touche’ Accessories, Sweet Saak Bakery and Chrysalis.”
