Company Charged: Not Providing Tax Information

December 10, 2013

A company secretary appeared in Magistrates Court this morning [Dec 10] where she entered a not guilty plea for the company to charges alleging the company failed to provide information as required under the Tax Information Exchange Act 2005.

As read out by the Senior Magistrate Archie Warner, the charge alleged that between August 2013 and October 2013, Seabourn Cruise Lines Ltd did not provide the required financial information as set out in a TIEA.

The cruise line company has retained lawyer Saul Froomkin, QC, as its legal counsel. The cruise line company itself was represented by Shelley Durrant, who was identified to the Magistrate as the Company Secretary for Seabourn Cruise Lines Ltd.

She entered a plea of not guilty on behalf of the company, and the matter was set for trial in March 2014.
