Results: 2013 Goodwill Golf Tournament Day #3

Rain and Wind took center stage today around the golf course causing an hour delay of play. The teams battled the weather and each other and scores seem to be getting closer and closer each day. While some teams struggled in the rain, others looked like they were enjoying the conditions.

Professional Divisions

Chris Moody was able to handle the tough weather conditions that hung over Bermuda today. He has taken the lead after three rounds and has a total of 60 points. Dwayne Pearman of the Port Royal GC hangs on in second place with 57 points while Dennis Hendershott has 56 points and drops to third place.

Keir Smith and Ted Griffin share the lead with 51 points total while Danny Mijovic slips into third place with 50 points. Ben Mcfaul has 48 point while Scott Spence has 47 points.

After three rounds played, Jen Jaszek from Hi 5 Golf has taken a lead with a total of 40 points. She was able to beat of the wind and rain at Riddells Bay to shot 16 points. Andree Lapierre representing London Hunt Club has a three day total of 39 points while Meg Chapman from Georgian Bay has 38 points. It will be an exciting finish tomorrow with all three players so close together.

Teams Gross

The National Golf Club of Canada “B” team now share the lead with Riverside CC after three rounds. They both have a three total of 196 while Mid Ocean Club and Rhode Island CC have three days total of 198 and 199 respectively.

In the Senior Team division, Hi 5 Golf continue to lead with a total of 191, 8 shots clear of nearest competitors Belfair Plantation and Lakes Golf Club who have 199. Ocean View Golf Club are 4th with 201.

Georgian Bay GC Ladies have found themselves in the lead after three rounds after firing a gross score of 72 at the Riddell’s Bay Golf Club. They are 3 shots clear of local team Riddell’s Bay, who had home course advantage and finished with a 72. Mid Ocean Club ladies are in third place now after struggling in the weather and finished with a 79. It is still a close race to the finish and any of the top 4 teams have a chance to win the tournament.

Teams Net

After three days of play National Golf Club of Canada “B” are still leading in the Junior Net Division but by three shots over the local team from Riddell’s Bay GC and Riverside Golf Club who have three days totals of 180 and 183 respectively. Fourth place at the moment belongs to Belmont Hill Golf Club.

Hi 5 Golf continues their fine play in the NET division and lead with a three day total of 172. Four shots back and in the hunt are Bellewood Golf Club with 176 and Ocean View GC round out the top 3 with a three day total of 177.

Georgian Bay GC ladies continue to lead in the Net Division but find themselves only one shot ahead of Riddell’s Bay ladies who have a 3 day total of 195. The ladies of Hi 5 Golf sit on 197 and seem excited to have picked up a few strokes on the field today.
