Results: Men’s & Women’s Hockey League
Local hockey players saw action this past weekend, with the Ravens defeating the Longtails, the Wildcats defeating the Longtails, and the BHF National Team losing to the BHF All Stars.
Women’s A Division: Ravens 9 – Longtails 0
Emma Simmons scored a hat-trick of Field Goals in the 8th, 27th and 34th minute, while Alex Wheatley scored a hat-trick of Penalty Corner goals in the 19th, 42nd and 45th minutes to earn the Ravens a 9 – 0 win over the Longtails. Kristen Ingelman scored from a Penalty Corner in the 49th minute, Carolyn Soares scored a Field Goal in the 60th minute and Ana Abend scored a Field Goal in the 64th minute to close out the scoring.
Women’s B Division: Wildcats 2 – Longtails 0
Stacey DeShield gave the Wildcats a 1 – 0 lead over the Longtails scoring from a Penalty Corner in the 18th minute, Cerepha Bridgeman doubled the lead in the 26th minute scoring a Field Goal as the Wild Cats defeated the Longtails 2 – 0.
Men’s Division: BHF All-Stars 6 – BHF National Team 9
Richard Minors scored a hat-trick of Field Goals for the BHF National Team in the 7th, 10th and 39th minutes as they defeated the BHF All-Stars 9 – 6. Donnie Simmons and Chris Pacheco scored two Field Goals apiece, while Hemijah Bean and Joshua Thompson both added a Field Goal each. Dave Horan scored a hat-trick for the All-Stars, while Andrew Brouwer added two scored and Nigel Dean added the other.
