Bermuda-Filmed TV Show To Air In 2015

January 31, 2014

ocean-vetUK-based video production company gassProductions has announced that a full season of Ocean Vet, a television series that will explore Bermuda’s varied marine life through the eyes of Dr. Neil Burnie, will begin filming in March 2014, with the show set to air sometime in 2015.

The original pilot for the series was shot in Bermuda in August 2013.

According to the show’s official Facebook page, “Ocean Vet is a factual entertainment series like no other. It follows the exploits of veterinarian Dr. Neil Burnie, a man on a mission to protect Bermuda’s precious marine wildlife.

“Dr. Burnie’s enthusiasm is truly infectious and his hands-on approach to some of the most dangerous marine animals makes for compulsive viewing. This breathtaking and thrilling series delves into a stunning underwater world teeming with life, but fraught with danger.”

Dr. Burnie is well-known around the island for his work with The Bermuda Shark Project.

“Dr. Burnie is an eccentric character, full of life. His love for the natural world developed whilst growing up in his native England. He fulfilled his dream of becoming a vet before wanderlust took him globe-trotting – busking, fly fishing and diving the worlds shallow seas.”

The Ocean Vet series will consist of 12 episodes, each of them focusing on a different aspect of Bermuda’s marine life, as Dr. Burnie exhibits his sheer love for and appreciation of the island’s underwater inhabitants.

Hopefully the DOT or the new tourism authority will ensure that they run ads during the time slots and capitalise big time ! They have a year to come up with something really attention grabbing.

Also with Nahki Wells star rising, they should also make some arrangement to adertise at Huddersfield’s games.

Utilise the positive exposure ! It’s not rocket science.
