First, Premier Division Sunday Football Results

A number of football games took place across the island this weekend with Devonshire Colts, X’Road’s, Dandy Town Hornets,PHC Zebras all recording wins.

First Division

Young Men Social Club 1 Ireland Rangers 1

At the Bernard Park, the second half of the season kicked off for Young Men Social Club and Ireland Rangers. Raymond Burgess gave the Young Men Social Club the lead in the 33rd minute, but Tahj Wade equalized for Ireland Rangers when he scored from close range in the 77th minute as the teams shared the points.

Devonshire Colts 3 BAA 2

At the Police Field, Devonshire Colts went in front in the 17th minute when Quinn Simmons scored, Lozendro Symonds doubled the lead in the 25th minute as the Devonshire Colts took a 2 – 0 lead into the break. Aston Bell pulled a goal back for BAA in the 65th minute and then 3 minutes later the scores were level when Joshua DeSilva found the back of the net. Devonshire Colts though would not be denied as substitute Kyle Jones scored in the 79th minute to earn them the 3 – 2 win.

X’Road’s 2 Boulevard Blazers 1

At the Garrison Field X’Road’s had to come from behind to defeat the Boulevard Blazers 2 – 1. Aldonte Smith gave the Boulevard Blazers the lead on the stroke of half time, but Tristan Daniels equalized for X’Road’s in the 53rd minute, Daniels scored again in the 78th minute as X’Road’s took the lead and they held on for the three points.

Premier Division

North Village Rams 1 Dandy Town Hornets 3

At the Bernard Park, Seoin Darrell gave the Dandy Town Hornets the lead in the 11th minute, but Jahquan Smith-Deshields equalized for the North Village Rams in the 37th minute as the teams went to the break level at 1 – 1. The Dandy Town Hornets goalkeeper Treadwell Gibbons put his team infront in the 57th minute when he scored from the penalty spot, Tre Manders gave the Dandy Town Hornets a two goal lead when he found the back of the net in the 66th minute as they earned all three points and went back to the top of the Premier Division Standings.

Devonshire Cougars 1 Flanagan’s Onion’s 1

At the Devonshire Rec, Kevin Ronaldson gave visiting Flanagan’s Onion’s the lead in the 40th minute, however ten minutes later Domico Coddington equalized for the Devonshire Cougars as the two teams shared the points in a 1 – 1 draw.

PHC Zebras 3 Wolves 0

At the Southampton Oval, Cecoy Robinson gave the PHC Zebras the lead in the 23rd minute when he scored directly from a corner. Ryan Hassell doubled the PHC Zebras lead five minutes into the second half, Hassell then added his second goal of the game in the 65th minute as the PHC Zebras defeated Wolves 3 – 0.

St. David’s 1 Southampton Rangers 0

At Lord’s in St. David’s, the lone goal in this game came in injury time, Angelo Cannonier met a cross from Zachary Morris and headed the ball into the back of the net as St. David’s defeated the Southampton Rangers 1 – 0.
