Friday Football Results: Corona, Premier Division

A number of football games took place across the island this weekend with footballers in the Premier Division and Corona League all seeing action with Wolves, Robin Hood and Tuff Dogs all recording wins.

Premier League

Wolves 2 Hamilton Parish 1

After a scoreless first half at the Devonshire Rec. Wolves took a 1 – 0 lead when Tamauri Tucker curled a free kick from some 20 yard out around a Hamilton Parish wall and beat Nigel Burgess in goal for Hamilton Parish.

The match started several minutes late after the lights went out at the Rec. but power was restored and play was allowed to get underway.

Vincent Minors Jr. doubled the Wolves lead when he found the back of the net in the 76th minute, but Ijahmon Mallory pulled a goal back for Hamilton Parish when he converted from the penalty spot in the 90th minute.

With the added time on Hamilton Parish could not find the equalizer as Wolves came away with all three points winning 2 – 1.

Corona League

Robin Hood 7 BAA 0

The second half of the Corona League season kicked off at the BAA Field and Rohan Simons began with a bang leading Robin Hood to a 7 – 0 victory over BAA scoring hat-trick, Robin Hood also got goals from Lloyd Holder, Aaron Eversley, Gary Ray and Grant Mckellar.

Tuff Dogs 3 West End United 1

The Tuff Dogs came away with a 3 – 1 win over West End United in the second match of the double header. Lamaul Crofton, Marcel Dill and an own goal saw Tuff Dogs through, while Henry Santucci scored the lone goal for West End United.
