Botanical Gardens Access Road Closure

February 4, 2014

The Department of Parks said they would like to advise the general public that the access road into the Botanical Gardens leading from the Peace Lutheran Gate on South Shore Road to the Department of Environmental Protection will be closed at the north end due to cabling and concrete chamber works for the air conditioning unit at the new hospital.

“The road will be closed until Friday, February 7th, restricting access to the Botanical Gardens, the Department of Environmental Protection and the Department of Parks,” a spokesperson said.

“Members of the public are asked to enter and exit through the Berry Hill entrance and utilize the parking lots on the eastern side of the Botanical Gardens until Friday, February 7th.

“The Department of Parks apologizes for any inconvenience to the public while this phase of the new hospital project is completed by the contractor BCM McAlpine Ltd.

“For additional information about traffic flow in Botanical Gardens during this construction phase the general public can contact the Department of Parks at 236-5902.”
