Facebook Predator Convicted/Jailed 18 Months
Christopher Corday, now 22, was convicted in Magistrates Court today [Feb 25] of using Facebook and intruding on the privacy of three young girls and attempting to lure them into sexual activity with himself.
The five offences on which he was convicted occurred between May 2012 and August 2013. The three girls were aged between 12 and 14.
Corday used a Facebook account in which he purported to be another young woman named ‘Crystal’. Corday introduced himself via the false Facebook account and offered one of the girls $1,000 to have sex with him.
After lengthy arguments by Crown Prosecutor Susan Mulligan and Defence lawyer Marc Daniels, Senior Magistrate Archie Warner sentenced Corday to eighteen months in prison.
The sentence was to run from 18th October 2013 when Corday was first remanded into custody. The Crown had sought a sentence between 20 and 28 months. The Defence sought a suspended sentence or a lower range followed by a period of probation. The maximum sentence is five years.

The OBA Leaders said they were coming out with a sex offenders book, include it to the other broken promises. The only time they will take it serious is when it happens to them. Then the book will be out a week later for all to see.
So that people will not be identified, Bermuda is too small. Any little information that gets put out, people will know who did what to who. It is for the safety of their identinty if they were involed in such a sick act

Congratulations to the Prosecutor in this case, and also to the Magistrate. 18 months may not sound like a long time in jail but we can hopefully guarantee that if he commits any more similar offences he can look forward to spending a much longer period in the West End.
Weird does not make you out to be a predator. Even the most popular persons are being prosecuted for sex crimes. We need to have a registrar with ALL sex offenders listed and include their dates served or serving in jail

Interestingly, the minimum age to use Facebook is 13. So how old did those three girls say there were on Facebook?

There are so many men like this in Bermuda. Believe me it is not just girls that are being targeted by these weirdos. Men have came up to me offering money to take pictures. People are asking for a sexual offenders registry, how about just locking them up. That’s where they belong. Once a pervert always a pervert. There is no rehabilitation and people want a sexual offender registry? They’d be surprised how many names would be on that list!!

REAL JUSTICE would be to FREE and ABSOLVE all those in Westgate NOW for possession of minimal amounts of marijuana, to make room for these type of PREDATORS who are the real ANTISOCIAL ones.
Years ago the Prison Psychologists drafted proven rehabilitation programs for the folks with this behaviour abnormality. Of course it did not fit the mission of the organization, and they quit in frustration.

Then there was that children’s show a few weeks back, and that little girl “wowed” the audience with her catwalk moves. You cannot sexualize children, praise them for it, do it publicly, put it on film, and expect any less! Let children be children!
..being one of those girls he tried to reach out to; I think he got what he deserved.
