Heavy Rains Cause West End Clinic Closures

The Department of Health advise the public that, due to the heavy rains, the Somerset and Warwick clinics have experienced some interior flooding. Therefore, in order to ensure a safe clinic and to allow the Works staff to carry out the necessary repairs to the buildings’ roofs the Department will temporarily close both clinics.

The affected clinics are:

Warwick Clinic:

  • ‘Baby Clinic’ on Monday afternoons from 2-4pm: This clinic will be relocated to the St. Mary’s Church Hall effective Monday March 3rd until further notice.

Somerset Clinic:

  • ‘Dental clinic’. The public can instead contact the Oral Health Programme in Hamilton at 278-6440.
  • ‘Women’s Clinic’ on Tuesday mornings. Clients may visit the Maternal Health Clinic in Hamilton or for further enquires call 278-6441.
  • ‘Baby Clinic’ on Friday afternoons from 2-4 pm. Clients may call the Hamilton Clinic for further enquires at 278-6460.

A spokesperson said, “The Department of Health apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause. The Department of Health will notify the public when the clinics are back in operation.”
