  1. Take it Easy! says:

Someone gets caught wit a lil herb goes court, some for sell alcohol illegally walks free! There is something wrong here!

  2. Take it Easy! says:

    *someone sells

  3. Marcusbmco says:

U need to appeal THAT sentence / fine…..

    • Take it Easy! says:

I will appeal that for u. Someone like u and i get caught doing something illegally we go court and get charged for whatever offense we are there for. right? But because a politician does something illegally he/she walks free! But dont politicians make laws for citizens to follow and abide by? But for some reason politicians are ABOVE the law! I dont know why maybe u can answer that one for me?

  4. haha says:

$500 dollars for scissors alone, and half a gram, etc. WHAT A F****** JOKE!!!

  5. archaic ways says:

bermuda gotta check itself and its archaic ways. criminalizing a large demographic of the population, for a private action which does no harm to others. what is freedom if we don’t have sovereignty over our own consciousness. seems unnatural to make nature illegal to me.

  6. biggadon says:

brings new meaning to HIGH SEAS!

  7. Betty Dump says:

This is exactly why on yesterday’s thread I had said that we need to decriminalize petty possession such as this immediately while we work out our legislation for full legalization.

  8. Betty Dump says:

This guy committed a serious offence… possession of scissors, a half gram of weed, and two seedlings… a real serious crime… I am so glad that the Bermuda Police raided this guy’s place and got this dangerous man off the streets… meanwhile some pervert was probably interfering with a child… thank god you police are making Bermuda safe from weed smokers while simultaneously allowing the molesters, gangsters, murderers walk free!

  9. Betty Dump says:

The officers that partook in this raid must truly feel like dumb a****… what a waste. Even worse… we pay these idiots salaries! It’s time to get serious… this idiocy needs to come to an end… where’s Dunkley? Oh right… it’s a waste of f…ing time…

    • sage says:

I wonder if someone could tally up all associated costs involved in processing an “offence” like this. I am thankful they didn’t imprison the man, it has happened before. I wonder if some low down scum informed on the guy.

      • Betty Dump says:

That would be interesting to see. How many cops were involved at what salary? How much did it cost us to put this in court? But even more importantly… what is the outcome? A dude that minds his own business smoking a joint on a boat now has a criminal record, probably on the stop list and for what? What good came from this? NOTHING!!! We the tax payer lose, this man loses, and Bermuda loses because cases like this make us look retarded to the rest of the civilized world.

  10. Betty Dump says:

We should organize a march on parliament for this lunacy… oh right… we’re not talking about drunk ferry operators…

  11. Betty Dump says:

Dunkley… Please grow a pair and legalize so we can stop the stupidity!

  12. Betty Dump says:

So how come Trevor’s son got off?

    • ya right says:

We all the answer to that question lol.

    • Onion says:

He was treated more harshly that most people, TBH.

I bet this guy got the book thrown at him because of the plants growing.

  13. Herb Adderley says:

my oh my, a half a gram and he is fined $1800.00……wtf is going on with the courts. The guy had a couple of plants growing on his boat for his use, or did they think he was going to supply the entire island with Herb….lol..pardon the pun….this is so ridiculous i hope a good lawyer takes on his appeal and this gets thrown out, and btw so should the Judge.

  14. Should have been the son of someone special…. O well

  15. Triangle Drifter says:

Wonder how much this little excercise in justice cost the taxpayer? You can bet it was way over $1800. Surely there must be better things for the BPS to do than chase down some guy growing a little weed for himself.

  16. Buzz says:

This was Far better off getting on a
Plane and going some where and pay
far less , and enjoy himself !

No tourist will come if they knew how much a gram was over here.

On top of hotel and food, they can spend a year on vacation in another country besides Bermuda.

  18. SMDH says:

Really?!?! The investigation probably cost more then what he had! Gosh

  19. Sara says:

While our politicians are yelling and cursing one another up in the house on our taxpayer dime, this is happening. Get to work on this issue you bunch of idiots!

  20. Truth is killin' me... says:

I’m starting to get really pissed off with all this nonsense. I would bet some ferry operators/crew have had more than this man had in their work overalls while ON THE JOB!

  21. TheHerbalist says:

$1800 for what is essentially a bloody joint. definitely time for changes

  22. more than enough says:

the police should refuse to deal with this type of injustice.
apologize, and give the man back his weed, money, scissors, and rizla.

  23. Green thumbs says:

and this dare friends is why i choose to live abroad in a US state that allows me to grow and use medical cannibas.. Bermuda is still in the dark ages and until the people demand changes from the government they will continue to screw over peaceful mmj patients
