Man Pleads Not Guilty To Methadone Theft

Appearing in Magistrates Court this morning [Feb 6], a 38-year-old man denied charges of stealing methadone.

Paul Mario Sutcliffe, also know as Paul Mario Smith, appeared before Senior Magistrate Archie Warner, and pleaded not guilty to stealing 50 milliliters of methadone from another man on January 25, 2014.

He  will stand trial on April 25, 2014, and was granted $5,000 bail and required to provide a surety.

      Methadone is distributed at Turning Point as part of their treatment programme for former heroin users.

      If you knew the facts of the case you would know the man had just left a meeting at turning point in which he was issued the drugs.

        Hello…..I don’t know why they are bothering to comment if they don’t KNOW the FACTS……just picking words out of an article…..The gentleman that HAD the methadone is attending treatment and had it LEGALLY……
