Nahki Wells & Huddersfield Defeat Wigan

Nahki Wells and his Huddersfield FC teammates took on Wigan today [Feb 8] at Huddersfield’s home field defeating Wigan 1-0 at John Smith’s Stadium.

The 23 year old Bermudian striker — who already has two Huddersfield goals to his credit — was in the starting eleven but was substituted after 61 minutes of play. The match remained scoreless until the game’s lone goal in the 86th minute by Adam Clayton.

Today’s game saw Wells make his first home start for the Terriers, partnering with James Vaughan up front. Huddersfield’s next game will see the Terriers take on Nottingham Forest on Tuesday [Feb 11].
