Premier, First, Corona Weekend Football Results

A host of football games took place across the island, with players in the Premier Division, First Division and Corona League all seeing action.

Corona League

Lock N Key 2 Robin Hood 0

Lock N Key pulled off a major shock at the BAA Field in their Corona League match against Robin Hood pulling out a 2 – 0 win. Lock N Key got single strikes from Chris Anderson and Chris Furbert.

Flanagan’s Onions 2 Vasco 2

Four goals in this encounter resulted in a draw, Darren Thompson and Mark Halpin both found the back of the net for the Flanagan’s Onions, while Ricardo Madeiros scored both goals for Vasco.

West End United 5 Lobster Pot 4

A nine goal thriller saw West End United out score lobster Pot 5 – 4. Matthew Carvahlo found the back of the net twice for West End United, while Dennis Aubrey, Genie Simmons and Henry Santucci all added a goal each for West End United. Marco Mota scored twice for Lobster Pot, while Javon and Ryan Minors both added a goal each.

Premier Division

Flanagan’s Onion’s 1 Hamilton Parish 0

After a scoreless first half the only goal on this Premier Division match came in the 85th minute through an own goal as the Flanagan’s Onion’s defeated Hamilton Parish 1 – 0.

Dandy Town Hornets 3 Wolves 1

At the St. John’s Field, Ernest Trott scored from close range to give the Dandy Town Hornets a 1 – 0 lead in the 22nd minute, but three minutes later Vincent Minors Jr. equalized for Wolves when he converted from the penalty spot. Daeshun Butterfield put the Dandy Hornets back in front in the 69th minute and then Temiko Wilson scored in the 80th minute to earn the Dandy Town Hornets a 3 – 1 win.

Southampton Rangers 1 PHC Zebras 2

At the Southampton Oval, Shakir Smith gave the PHC Zebras the lead in the 3rd minute, Dion Stovell equalized for the Southampton Rangers in the7th minute when he converted from the penalty spot. Cecoy Robinson scored in the 75th minute converting from the penalty spot to put PHC Zebras back in front as they came away with all three points.

North Village Rams 2 St. David’s 0

At the Bernard Park the North Village Rams defeated visiting St. David’s 2 – 0. Pierre Smith gave the home team the lead in the 29th minute, Jahquan Smith-Deshields doubled the lead for the North Village Rams lead in the 63rd minute as they came away with all three points.

First Division

Robin Hood 1 Somerset Eagles 0

At the BAA Field, First Division League Leaders Robin Hood got a goal in the 8th minute from Liam Evans as they defeated the Somerset Eagles 1 – 0.

Boulevard Blazers 1 Devonshire Colts 4

At the Police Field, Vernon Lambe gave the Devonshire Colts the lead in the 13th minute, Zuri Darrell doubled the lead in the 65th minute. Kyle Jones made it 3 – 0 to the Devonshire Colts in the 75th minute and when Quinn Simmons scored it made the score 4 – 0 after 78 minutes. Dunn-ya Taylor scored the lone goal for the Boulevard Blazers on the stroke of full time.

Paget Lions 0 St. George’s Colts 5

At the Southampton Oval, the visiting St. George’s Colts defeated the Paget Lions 5 – 0. Damian Mendoza led the way scoring a hat-trick, while Kodi Carlington and Macai Simmons added a goal each.

Ireland Rangers 1 BAA 6

At Malabar, Nassir Richardson scored twice to lead visiting BAA to a 6 – 1 win over Ireland Rangers. LaQuan Thomas, Dante Taylor, Diego McCallan and Joshua DeSilva all added a goal each, Jonathan Bean scored the lone goal for the Ireland Rangers.

Young Men Social Club 1 X’Road’s 5

At the Bernard Park, Tristan Daniels gave X’Road’s the lead in the 4th minute, he then doubled the lead in the 28th minute, Daniels then completed his hat-trick in the 42nd minute as X’Road’s took a 3 – 0 lead in the half time break. Raymond Burgess pulled a goal back for Young Men Social Club in the 56th minute, but Daniels was not done as he found the back of the net for a fourth time in the 73rd minute putting X’Road’s ahead 4 – 1 and then Rico Beek scored in the 81st minute as X’Road’s came away with a 5 – 1 win.
