Allied World Bermuda’s Staff Promotions
Allied World Assurance Company, Ltd. today [Mar 25] announced the following promotions for its Bermuda‐based staff. These promotions are effective immediately, pending immigration approval where necessary.

Actuarial & Modeling
- Arie Haziza has been promoted to SVP, Head of Catastrophe Risk Analytics. Arie joined the company in 2008 as an Actuary.
- Sandy Wu has been promoted to SVP, Head of Capital Modelling. Sandy joined the company in 2009 as AVP, Modelling.
- Benoit Derval has been promoted to VP & Corporate Actuary. Benoit joined the company in 2009 as an Assistant Actuary.
Claims
- Lita Saltus has been promoted to Senior Claims Analyst, Property. Lita joined the company in 2003 as a Claims Assistant.
- Najee Woods has been promoted to Senior Claims Analyst, Property. Najee joined the company in 2005 as a Claims Assistant.
Finance
- Gareth Tavares has been promoted to VP, Financial Planning & Analysis. Gareth joined the company in 2007 as a Financial Analyst.
Internal Audit
- Damion Wickramage has been promoted to VP, Information Technology Internal Audit. Damion joined the company in 2005 as an Information Technology Auditor.
Operations
- Melody Johnson has been promoted to VP, Project Management Office Manager. Melody joined the company in 2004 as a Business Analyst in the IT Department.
Underwriting – Insurance
- Sue Cabral has been promoted to AVP, Healthcare. Sue joined the company in 2002 as a Junior Underwriter in the Healthcare Department.
- Jaime Peixoto has been promoted to Senior Underwriter, Professional Liability. Jaime joined the company as an Administrative Assistant in the Professional Liability Department.
- Andrew Osborne has been promoted to Underwriter, Healthcare. Andrew joined the company in 2012 as an Assistant Underwriter in the Healthcare Department.
Underwriting – Reinsurance
- Rachael Ashford has been promoted to VP, Specialty Reinsurance. Rachael joined the company in 2005 as an Underwriting Assistant in the International Treaty Department.
