City Food Festival To Kick Off On March 17
The City Food Festival is set to get underway with a complimentary continental breakfast in front of City Hall on March 17, with the main event to take place on Saturday, March 22 at Victoria Park.
A social media post about the event said, “On Monday, March 17 from 8.00am until 9.00am [or while supplies last], we will kick off the City Food Festival with a complimentary continental breakfast in front of City Hall. Later in the afternoon, we will host a lunchtime event from 12.00pm until 2.00pm at International Imports [Chef Shop], with more details to come.
“On Tuesday, March 18, the first round of our chef’s competition will take place at Bermuda Gas from 5.30pm until 8.30pm. This competition is an exciting and eclectic part of the food festival which will continue on March 19 and March 20.
“The semi-finalist from each round will advance to the finals, where a winner will be crowned.
“This event is ticket only affair; tickets will be available for purchase at premiertickets.bm. The tickets are $20 per event or you can buy a passport for $50 for entry into all three. By purchasing a ticket, you will be able to sample the chef’s creations while enjoying complimentary signature beverages provided by Goslings, as well as gain entry into a raffle for some great door prizes.
“On Friday, March 21, we will host a wine tasting event at Goslings Wine Cellar. More information will be available for this event within a week or two.
“On Saturday, March 22 from 2.00pm until 10.00pm will be the City Food Festival in Victoria Park. There will be more than a dozen city restaurants and bars featured, offering a wide variety of foods and specialty drinks. This year we are focusing on the many cultures that help make Bermuda the cultural melting pot that it is.
“With a cultural theme, multiple demonstrations, and exciting competitions all on tap, we are looking forward to a fun-filled day of activity. We will have live cultural performances throughout the day as well as a live band to take us into the night. Tickets will be available via premiertickets.bm or at the event itself.”
