Middle School Preliminary Track & Field Results

The Bermuda School Sports Federation held the Middle School Zone Sports Preliminaries at the National Sports Center. The young athletes had to deal with windy conditions and well as showers from time to time, the top eight finishers in each event advanced to the finals which are set to take place on Friday.

Jessie Marshall representing the Saltus Grammar School ran to victory in the Under 12 Girls 800 Meter Run with a time of 2:51.66 Destini Warner from Whitney Institute finished second clocking 2:53.45 and Attiyah Morris from Saltus Grammar School finished third with a time of 2:54.02.

In the Under 13 Girls 100 Meter Dash Saltus Grammar School student Zekiah Lewis clocked the fastest time of 13.05, Brijette Basden from T.N. Tatem finished second with a time of 13.07 and Brianna Simmons from the Whitney Institute finished third clocking 13.20.

Ryan Outerbridge ran to victory in the Under 12 Boys 800 Meter Run the Clearwater Middle School student crossed the line in a time of 2:39.20, Whitney Institute student Robert Thomas finished second clocking 2:41.94 and Clearwater student Mahzii Simmons finished third with a time of 2:44.07.

The Over 13 Boys 100 Meter Dash was won by Annan Zuill who clocked 11.88 while representing Sandys Secondary, his school mate Joseph Basden finished second clocking 12.33 and Lejuan Mathews from the Whitney Institute finished third clocking 12.13.

Aaron Jacobs from the T.N Tatem ran to victory in the Over 13 Boys 400 Meter Dash recording a time of 56.07, Zuhri Burgess finished second representing Clearwater with a time of 59.72, Sandys Secondary student Deneo Brangman finished third clocking 1:02.45.
