Sad and tragic situation. Prayers to this couple’s children who have lost not one but both parents.

    Rest easy aunty

    Gonna miss u aunt Regina

Why are the police being so weird about labeling this what is was?

    • VJ says:

The police are not being weird. There is no suspect, so the general public has nothing to fear. Anybody with common sense can pick the bones out of what the police are NOT saying.

The last sentence says it all. This is obviously a sensitive matter for the family. All the details are frankly nobody’s business other than those close to them.

      • IMJUSTHONEST says:

WELL SAID VJ SOME PEOPLE ARE JUST SO INSENSITIVE AND STUPID

        • Next says:

I’m not insensitive or stupid you dummy. You report what happened or say there are no suspects flat out, they have been skirting around the issue since it happened. They already knew they weren’t looking for any suspects. You’re just honest? No you’re just a moron.

          • Patiently waiting says:

What is your reasoning behind wanting to know? Are you going to benefit in some way?? Is by knowing going to give you peace? Please enlighten me?

            • Next says:

I already know. That wasn’t the point. My reasoning is the police have a duty to report crimes, sensitive or not.

              • SMH... says:

“Next” while I believe you intentions are innocent, I think you’re still missing the point. As you said, the police have a duty to report crimes, sensitive or not… which they did, however they are not responsible to report the details pertaining to those crimes. The family has/is suffering enough. In the meantime, how about you try and put yourself in the shoes of the children of the deceased and apply some discretion and tact?

                • bozey says:

@ SMH…If @NEXT really knew the true story he/she wouldn’t post with such interest!! Just another pokey person who loves gossip!! It is what it is… I do not know the family but I wish to express my sincerest condolences!!

                  • Next says:

Shut your stupid self up. I know the story you fool, that was NOT the point of my post so learn how to comprehend what you read.

                    • SMH... says:

I know the story as well hence my statement, “put yourself in the shoes of the children of the deceased and apply some discretion and tact”… the police have said all that they should have. Now as your name says… NEXT!!!!

                    • bozey says:

OOOOH!! Touchy…. Then I guess all of us who disagree with you read incorrectly and are fool!! Highly unlikely!! LOL… no gossip this weekend! Enjoy it anyway…hahahaha..

                • Next says:

My intentions were most certainly innocent. It’s just that certain people choose which stories are sensitive and need to be kept quiet and which stories don’t. I know for a fact some of these same people had no problem discussing that young man who committed suicide not long ago in St. Georges or laughing it up at Nandi Davis’ situation not long ago. That wasn’t “sensitive” or not up for discussion. In fact a lot of people were outright BRUTAL about it. It’s very hypocritical to have convenient morals but then again these are Bermudians we are talking about.

I don’t see how I’m not showing tact. This is not the first time this has happened I’m just wondering why now the police decide to show discretion. However as I said, this is Bermuda, and when you know the right people some things are off limits and kept quiet. The police opened the can of worms anyway. They are using words like, “very unique features” and I’m out of bounds for asking why? Nowhere else in the world do they do that. That’s all. I understand it’s sad and tragic for the family. My intention was never to hurt anyone.

              • bda nanny says:

Actually due to the sensitivity of the matter their picture shouldn’t even have been printed.Bermudians have a habit of wanting to know every little detail of everyone’s business…..Get a clue and learn to have respect and compassion for ppl…..

          • Robert says:

            You are the dummy,

            • Jim says:

Not to be insensitive, but this is 2014, and deaths are a sensitive matter for the families of every death that occurs..

We get the details of every crime that happens on the news, including the names of every person who is caught drunk driving and possessing a joint..
              (just to embarass them publicly?)

On a tiny island, I’m sure we can expect to know exactly what happened, without reading between the lines?

            • Next says:

Says the fool who uses a comma instead of a full stop. Clown.

          • BeingMe says:

Next: It’s really no-ones business. Why does the Police have to say anything else. I could understand if they were looking for someone, but they are not!! This should be sufficient for the public not to worry about their safety. The family has already suffered enough, why is any further comment needed?

    • Patiently waiting says:

@next…did you think that maybe just maybe the police are being senstitive and showing compassion for the family during this time. Quite frankly if they said they are not seeeking any suspects and have confirmed cause of death to the FAMILY it is none of anyone else business!!! All people WANT is confirmation of the rumors they heard. Go and pray for families and community during this time.

  5. an investigation is being conducted…scotland yard availed?

  7. Lois says:

So sad… Prayers are with the family and friends at this time.

  8. US Observer in Pink Sand says:

If there are no suspects, than whatever happened in that house on that morning only God knows and so do the investigators. For those who are still dumfounded/puzzled, just take a moment and pray or take a stroll, and pray for the family.

  9. Not buying it says:

What exactly is praying going to do at this point???

    • US Observer In Pink Sand says:

Obviously you have no soul or heart. Pretty ruthless huh?

    • Hurricane says:

@ Not Buying It, if you believe in prayer, not that I do, I guess you also believe that it well help at any point. Certainly not bring back the deceased as is the case here, but that the pain and suffering of family & loved ones is made easier.

    • bozey says:

Dumba**…there are children and other family left behind to deal with this!! Such an insensitive Pr***!!!

  10. real talk. says:

Smh. Family and friends have the right to know what happened to their loved one

    • Mr.nobody says:

The police have already notified the families of what went down.

  11. SMH says:

I’m sure the immediate families have been informed already, didn’t you read the report. Nobody else needs to know what happened. Now let the families grieve in peace.

God please comfort the two families at this difficult time.

  12. Just Fed Up!! says:

As I read these comments, all I could do was shake my head. First of all there is an investigation underway, hence very little information should be released. Furthermore, these two people have children!!! It’s bad enough that the media has had their pictures splashed all over the front page . . . friends and family will be advised accordingly as the investigation results progress. Anyone else seeking details is just being plain nosey!!!

Dang . . . have some compassion and respect, if for no one else, the damn children!!!!

  13. awful says:

This is just awful news all around….the poor family having to deal with this tragedy!

  14. SallyAnn says:

As there is much speculation around the nature of this, I still think its sad for the person who did this to these two whether it was themselves or another party – they must have been in a very dark place. Prayers to the family

  15. IJS says:

This amazes me. First of all, a person does not have to be pokey or nosey to want to know what happened, irrespective of whether or not anyone is alive to answer to any perceived crime. As one of the commenters have indicated, in most if not all, of course this case being the exception, details surrounding any death have always been released to the public. To point out this fact is neither insensitive nor disrespectful. Also, to infer that one simply need to pray for the families as a substitute of wanting to know the summary details is perhaps absurd. I understand completely that two families and two sets of friends are mourning a great loss that does not stop anyone from wanting to know what’s the truth. As also indicated above, the police have been extremely vague about this incident – one would have to wonder or question why? I may also add that not all friends or associates of this couple are going to be intimately connected with the family in order to receive “closure” (Note: “Closure” varies according to the individual)i.e. they are not going to be privy to the information…So the comment about friends and family being advised is not so far off base. Not ALL family and not ALL friends will be notified of the details. And, before someone comes from the angle that if a person is a friend then they will have access to this information, I would kindly ask you to be honest with yourself about your friendships and answer the question – if something were to happen to any one of my friends, would I have access to the information? Would I want to know what happened? Also, let’s keep in mind that this couple have mutual friends as well as individual friends and quite frankly it would be normal for any one of these friends wanting to know what happened to their friend. AND YES, there will be those that simply want the information to validate and/or disprove the varied rumors that have surfaced. Even in that scenario its human nature to want to have the information. In the end, whether the summary details are shared or not, this is an unfortunate occurrence. Prayers and sympathy for those left behind to mourn.

  16. she says:

It will be an inquest!I would like to know what happen and understand ones mind when it comes to love its called the university of life!!!

  17. Sensitive_Guy says:

@SallyAnn ….. The person who did this to these two …tsk tsk .. some people will never learn.
