Somerset ‘Baby Clinic’ Moved To St. James

March 4, 2014

The Department of Health has moved the ‘Baby Clinic,’ usually hosted at the Somerset Clinic, to St. James Church Hall until further notice due to flooding that has resulted from the heavy rains that Bermuda has experienced recently.

A spokesperson said, “The Department of Health would like to advise the public that the ‘Baby Clinic’ held at the Somerset Clinic on Friday afternoons from 2.00pm to 4.00pm will now be held at St. James Church Hall until further notice.

“This is due to flooding in the Somerset Clinic caused by the heavy rains Bermuda has been experiencing recently. In order to ensure a safe clinic and to allow the Works staff to carry out the necessary repairs to the building’s roof, the Department has temporarily closed the Somerset Clinic.

“Clients may call the Hamilton Clinic for further inquires at 278-6460.

“The Department of Health apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause. The Department of Health will notify the public when the Somerset and Warwick clinics are back in operation.”
