Bermuda Ball Hockey: Nordiques Defeat Rockies

The Colorado Rockies and Quebec Nordiques met up recently, with the Nordiques defeating the Rockies in a come from behind victory.

The Colorado Rockies jumped out to a 3 – 0 first quarter lead, Shawn McKee opened the scoring in the 11th minute, Ryan Wilson made it 2 – 0 two minutes later and then Chris Merritt made it 3 – 0 to the Colorado Rockies in the 16th minute of the period.

The second period saw the Quebec Nordiques score twice while only allowing one goal, JM Tremblay pulled a goal back for Quebec in the 11th minute of the period and then they pulled within one in the 16th minute when Chris Grantier scored, but Chris Jackson would give Colorado a two goal lead when he scored in the 18th minute making the score 4 – 2 after two period.

The third period saw Colorado goal ahead by three goals again when Charlie Silva scored in the 4th minute, but Peter Miller made it 5 – 3 when he scored in the 7th minute of the period for Quebec and when Jeff Clair scored in the 8th minute for Quebec they were within one goal.

Jordan Gunter restored the Colorado two goal lead when he found the back of the net in the 11th minute, but he then woke up Quebec who scored three goals in three minutes. Jeff Ingleman scored in the 14th, Billy Calko scored in the 15th and Tremblay scored his second goal of the game in the 17th as they took a 7 – 6 lead. No further goals were scored as the Quebec Nordiques staged the come from behind win.
