Inaugural Footy Force U13 Futsal Invitational
Footy Promotions has announced the inaugural Footy Force U13 Invitational 2014, set to be held from April 10 through April 13, 2014.
A spokesperson said, “The Footy Force Futsal Academy’s Invitational will be a futsal tournament with Bermuda’s Brazilian Football School, North Village Community Club, and Sidekick Soccer Academy from Boston, Massachusetts amongst the invited teams to participate.
“The opening ceremony will take place at the Warwick Academy Gymnasium on April 10, starting at 5.30pm. However, the remaining tournament games will be held at The Bermuda College Gymnasium from April 11 through April 13.”
Vinzie Zuill, President of The Footy Force Futsal Academy, said, “We are thrilled to host this futsal event. Youth players have been increasingly playing futsal and competing against each other.
“It is great that Sidekick Soccer Academy is traveling to Bermuda to play tournament matches with the participating local teams. The Footy Force U13 Invitational will give an opportunity to local teams to see how they measure up against international opposition.”
“Those attending will enjoy very entertaining futsal matches, with a live DJ and the chance to win prizes and giveaways. This event is sponsored by The Bermuda Futsal Federation, The Pro Shop, and Powerade.”
The event schedule [PDF here] will see the opening ceremony held on April 10 at 5.30pm, with a U10 match set to open competition at 5.45pm at Warwick Academy Gym.
The ensuing three days will feature a series of matches to be held at the Bermuda College Gym, culminating in an awards ceremony on April 13 at 12.45pm.
