Junior Glidden Bowl Begins At Riddell’s Bay

April 9, 2014

The first round of the Junior Glidden Bowl was played today [Apr 9] at Riddell’s Bay Golf Club, with rough weather making for tough playing conditions for all of the competing players.

A spokesperson said, “The wind was brutal out of the south at 30 knots, gusting to 45 knots at times. The scores were reflective of the conditions, with only two scores being recorded under 80.

“Lewis Daly, playing in the 16 to 18 age group, had the low round of the day, shooting 75. Lewis is currently 12 strokes ahead of Corey DeSilva, who shot 87.

“Brady Cordeiro shot 78 in the white tee group and is at the top his group. Brady has an eight stroke cushion over Alex Mason, who carded an 86.

“Kenny Leseur shot an impressive 82 from the red tees after 18 holes.

“In the red tee 6 hole group, the young guns also battled quite competitively. Spencer Young is currently at the top of his group on 33, with Ethan Sousa on 44 and Alex Bailey on 48.
