Why doesn’t the OBA release the actual vote count? Releasing the names by percentage of votes cast in their favor is not how real election results are transparently released.

    • Looking for Leadership says:

Probably because less than 60 people actually voted.

      Truth is nobody cares!

      • PBanks says:

It is strange that this is arguably the most publicity ever for the choosing of deputy chairpersons of a political party.

Maybe just a sign of the Internet age, or that local politics is growing in popularity here, who knows.

  7. Scotty says:

Hope Ms Jackson does more in this position than she has done as an MP. This is the first time I have heard her name since she was elected. However, she is not the only one in the OBA that this applies to.

    All female candidates, very interesting.

It may suggest that from the grassroots to the boiler-room of party politics (where party policies and new ideas are tested and/or launched and where the party advocates on behalf of its members to the Government) will see some changes in its points of view, especially on social programmes and/or single issues regarding females and families.

It is a great opportunity for change…

Sylvia Hayward Harris – seriously – in all her writings on every subject she has always pretended to be neutral – no surprise there.
