The Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service attended a brush fire located next to a boatyard on Marginal Wharf at Southside last night [Apr 24] at approximately 10.15pm.

Two fire trucks and at least six personnel were at the scene where an area of brush approximately 15 feet by 30 feet was burning and smoldering. One of the boats that was near the fire also sustained some damage. Fire fighters extinguished the blaze in high winds and wet down the surrounding area, while turning debris over with a rake.
