Bermuda Netball Summer League Underway
The Bermuda Netball Association’s 2014 Summer League Season got underway at Bernard’s Park this week, with one tie and one victory coming as a result.
The opener ended in a draw with Butterfield Bank and BPSU ending their match locked at 26 goals each.
Nikita Trott and Kristin Holman scored 13 goals each for Butterfield Bank, while BPSU got 21 goals from Alex Dowling, four goals from Jameka Talbot, and one goal from Marita Grimes.
The second game of the evening saw the Young Men Social Club Lady Bluebirds defeat PHC 30 – 16. Young Men Social Club were led to victory by Ebonie Burgess with 24 goals, while Donisha Gardener added four goals and Jasmine Smith chipped in with two goals.
Vernicka Symonds scored 10 goals for PHC, Jennifer Simmons added five goals, and June Swan scored once.
