Day #7: William Way Memorial Tennis Results
The 2014 William Way Memorial Tennis Tournament continued at the WER Joell Tennis Stadium, with five more matches on Day Seven.
Trey Mallory won his Men’s Singles Consolation match, but it took three sets to do so defeating Dylan Powell. Powell won the first set 6-3, but Mallory would fight back and win the second set 6-3, Mallory would then win the third and final set 10-3.
In ladies Singles action Imani Phillips defeated Lauren Way in straight sets 6-1, 6-1, Andy Bray & Sam Butler defeated Michael Way & James Collieson 6-1, 7-5 in their Men’s Doubles match.
Jenson Bascome & Tara Lambert won by default over Christine McHarg & Warren Mcharg, while in a Men’s Doubles Consolation match David Leader & Luke Stirling defeated Amir Thomas & Armell Thomas in straight sets 6-1, 6-3.
