Post Office Clarifies Tablet & PC Duty Rates

The Bermuda Post Office said they “would like to advise the general public that its advertisement on the back page of the recently circulated Price Rite flyer contains an error with respect to the Customs Duty on computers, MP3 Players and tablets.

“Customs duty on software is 0%. However, the Customs duty on computers, MP3 players and tablets remains at 22.25%,” a spokesperson added. “The Bermuda Post Office apologizes for this error and for any inconvenience to the public.”

    Sure am glad I don’t have to pay these BDA “customs duty” rates anymore!!

      So you live in a world free of taxes? So you don’t pay import duty in the country you now live in, but I bet you pay sales tax. What is it 7% -18%? Do you pay income Tax every year? Up to 40% of your earnings? Nobody gets anything for free my friend.
