Sandys Middle School Wins Cricket Super 8′s

cric120419Sandys Secondary Middle School won the Bermuda School Sports Federation’s Middle School Boys Super 8’s Cricket Tournament at T.N. Tatem.

Sandys breezed through the pool stages before facing T.N Tatem in the Final.

T.N Tatem batted first and scored 86 in their seven overs. Sharye Paynter was the top scorer with 24 before having to retire due to players being forced to retire after scoring 20 runs, Jaiden Manders added 22 for the runners up.

Makil Dill was the pick of the Sandys bowlers with figures of 1-0-6-3, while Shamir Gomes bowled 1-0-15-2.

In reply Sandys reached their target with an over to spare. Daelin Richardson retired after scoring 20. Tai Williams pitched in with 19 and Simeon Burrows scored 18 for the Champions.
