U.S. Secretary Kerry Sends Holiday Greetings

KerryU.S. Secretary of State John Kerry has wished Bermudians an enjoyable Heritage Day on behalf of President Barack Obama and the United States as a whole, pointing out that “Americans and Bermudians share a rich, robust history as friends and partners stretching back more than four hundred years.”

Secretary Kerry said, “On behalf of President Obama and the people of the United States, I congratulate all Bermudians, and join you in celebrating the wonderful and inspirational heritage of Bermuda this May 24.

“Americans and Bermudians share a rich, robust history as friends and partners stretching back more than four hundred years.

“Our deep and enduring bonds are forever firmly rooted in a shared cultural heritage, common values, and support for freedom and democracy around the world.

“The United States remains committed to strengthening our partnership in the years to come.”

    End the “Stop List” for ganja possession if we are really “friends”, but the US only has “interests” in reality.

      every country has interests, including Bermuda. It doesnt hurt our chances to have a big international player like the US in our court, and with every relationship (personal as well as political), there are going to be lines drawn and boundaries. That aside, I welcome Sec. John Kerry’s best wishes and wish everyone a happy and safe holiday.
