Please add the value of Bermuda Real Estate and the value of Bermuda’s corporations (BELCO, TELCO, NTB, and Argus) to this calculation in order to get a true reading of inflation/deflation in this economy. We are in a depression.

      DEPRESSION

I have been saying that “D” word for some time, the cover up was that they pulled “recession” out of the hat to hide the real truth.

The only way we are going to stop the ship from sinking is we all, that is each and every one of us has make the difference it is called work ,stop the in fighting . stop the moaning and groaning.
you will get no reward but you may keep the roof over your head.

    Get Real !

Why is it that the Contributors to this forum have to keep telling you, the people in high places, how to do your jobs.

Exorbitant Import Duty is crippling this country. Even DOGS pay for their can of horse meat.

How many people had dog food for dinner last night ?

A lesson in Grave Yard economics.

People pay taxes to Governments who collect taxes.

At last count I found 25 taxes on the books added to which I found two more taxes, cell phone usage ,and purchase of foreign exchange, so you paid duty on your device now you are paying tax to use the thing and duty to purchase it in the first place.

    That is “triple dip”.

Effectively what is happening we are being taxes out of existence while the C. of H. is raking in their 1 % on the docks.

Restaurants charge 800% profit on a $10.00 plate of food and one restaurant charges $ 45.00 for a steak.

What is going on here is suicidal unsustainable economics, this country has earned the reputation of being expensive and over priced ,a farmer in Alabama told me that, he is not coming here, is he ?.

Know This ! People do not appreciate being “ripped off ”

The “Domino effect” trickles down to the working man trying to support his family.

The more taxes you pay increases the cost of living that gets pass on to our visitors who do not appreciate paying $600. / night for 3 star a room.

We were down graded not up graded by the statisticians.

The new tourist authority is fighting a loosing battle as we are living in a dieing economy which is destroying our beautiful Island home.

The Department of Statistics are not about to tell you what percentage of you income goes for taxes, only how much it cost for a dozen eggs, which we know already, because we are not as stupid as the government make us out to be.
Goes this way, Economy down !

Government should reduce the burden !

It is all in the SAGE report.
