Parish Council To Host Father’s Day Breakfast

June 12, 2014

St. George’s Parish Council is getting set to host a pre-Father’s Day Breakfast at the East End Primary School on June 13, 2014 from 7.45am through 8.40am.

A spokesperson said, “The event is being chaired by Roslyn O’brien, with support from council members Thomas Harvey and Karen Carlington, with most of the other members of the council to assist at the event itself.

“The breakfast is being held with support from Bethany Bucher, who will be making the pancakes from scratch, The Supermart Ltd, John Barritt & Son Ltd, Butterfield & Vallis Ltd, The Warehouse Limited, Windy Bank Farm, and Specialty Coffee.

“The St. George’s Parish Council will also be hosting a fundraising wine tasting event later in June.

“The Parish Councils Act 1971 states that the council should work to ‘generally promote the well-being of persons resident in the parish.’ We feel that such events put on by the council go a long way to assisting us in achieving that objective.

“We would like to thank our sponsors and we look forward to seeing you at the event.”

  1. JUNK YARD DOG says:

Have you not figured it out yet, these” Fathers Day” Propaganda exercises are a Commercial ploy to play on peoples conscience , designed by Wall~ Mart and others to get people to spend money.

Meaning! don’t show up to visit daddy unless you have the keys for the “family farm” to hand over.

For Daddy and all of your love ones , all it takes is a hug ! worth more than , “All the tea in China”.

” A fool and his money are soon parted “.
