Premier Dunkley Visits Dockyard Businesses

June 4, 2014

The Premier and Minister of National Security Michael Dunkley took the opportunity recently to walkabout Dockyard’s Clocktower Mall. The Premier briefly met proprietors of the businesses and heard directly from them how their trade was going.

The Premier said, “The cruise ship season is in full swing now and so tourist activity in the immediate area is increasing. The shop-owners were largely optimistic and from the variety available in the Clocktower I’m sure visitors will find something special by which to remember Bermuda.

“I wanted to encourage and support these entrepreneurs who are making every effort to achieve business success in challenging times. It is important that they know that their Government is committed to creating the climate for that success.”

Among some of the stores visited were Nannini’s Haagen Daz Ice Cream store, Bermuda Triangle, Lisa Anne Rego’s Gallery and Hand Made Bermuda Ltd.

Good to see he made it all the way out to Dockyards! What’s that… 20 minutes from town. You would think he was the President visiting Puerto Rico or something.

If you’re going to try and denigrate someone else in an attempt to try to make yourself look smart or clever make sure you’re first smart enough to know that there’s no ‘s’ in ‘Dockyard’

I am beginning to like my Premier more and more each day! He is working behind the scenes on more importanct issues as well as putting himself out there on a face to face basis! He wants to know how business is doing.. In the event he has to make change for the better , then he will be in a better position to implement. Keep up the work Mr. Dunkley and hope you can continue to rectify and address the larger issues that we are being faced with! UBP Supporter !! Yup I wrote that for all the Haterz ..
