BBC To Televise 2014 Commonwealth Games
The Bermuda Broadcasting Company announced today that the company has successfully negotiated to have television coverage of the 2014 Commonwealth Games aired in Bermuda exclusively over the BBC network of stations.
BBC CEO Rick Richardson said the company is set to air live and taped coverage of the prestigious Games which are scheduled to start in Glasgow Scotland within the next week.
Mr. Richardson added: “Our Company will provide live satellite coverage of the opening and closing ceremonies featuring the 18 member Bermuda contingent. In addition there will be 20 hours of select live content and 23 one-hour highlight programs.”
The Bermuda Broadcasting Company coverage of the games live and direct from Scotland will begin Wednesday, July 23rd and conclude on Sunday, August 3rd on ZFB Channel 7.
Bermuda’s 18-strong team consists of Arantxa King, Shianne Smith, Aaron Evans, Harold “Tre” Houston, Tyrone Smith, Shaquille Dill, Nicole Mitchell, Dominique Mayho, Gemma Lightbourne, Micah Franklin, Robert Maycock, Nicholas Kyme, Julian Fletcher, Roy-Allan Burch, Flora Duffy, Tucker Murphy, Tyler Butterfield, and Jonathan Herring.
