Dickinson & Young Win Leon Wilson Memorial
Stephen Dickinson and Pat Young recently sailed to victory in the Leon Wilson Memorial Comet Regatta at the West End Sailboat Club, however they did not have things their own way.
Dickinson and Young finished with four points from the four races, with finishes of second, first, third, and first; sailors are allowed to drop their worst race. Youngsters Peter Dill and Ellie Wollmann also finished with four points following finishes of first, second, first, and seventh, giving them a second place finish overall.
Dill and Wollmann were over the line early in the final race and were never able to catch up after having to restart.
Finishing third with nine points were Scott Fox and Wesley Tucker, after finishes of third, sixth, second, and fourth, with Dale Brangman and Michori Parfitt-Jones finishing fourth overall with 11 points, and Antoine Wingood and Steven King rounding out the top five finishers with 12 points.
