Warwick Academy IB Students Achieve 100%

July 8, 2014

Students in this year’s graduating class at Warwick Academy have achieved a 100% pass rate in the International Baccalaureate Diploma programme.

Warwick Academy Principal, Mrs. Maggie McCorkell said: “Warwick Academy is very proud to report that the school’s graduating class raised the bar yet again by achieving their best ever overall results with a 100% pass rate in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. The students also achieved a 100% pass rate in the Individual Subjects.”

Mrs. McCorkell continued: “In addition the schools’ average Diploma score is 32.38 points per student. With the worldwide average placed at 29.80 points this is a very good measure to benchmark the strength of the programme at the school and it is inclusive of all students not only those at the top end.”

“There were some outstanding individual scores with Lindsay Fisher and Russell Conyers both with 41 out of a possible 45 points, Melissa Fiddick with 38 points, Jasmine Lee with 37 points, and then three students, Morgan Smith, Hayley Smith and Peter Webb, with 36 points.”

  • Lindsay Fisher –University of Edinburgh [Medicine]
  • Russell Conyers – Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland [Medicine]
  • Melissa Fiddick – University of Victoria [International Business]
  • Jasmine Lee – University of British Colombia [Fine Art]
  • Morgan Smith – Northeastern University [Business]
  • Hayley Smith – University of Sheffield [Modern Languages]
  • Peter Webb – University of Kings College [Business/Economics]

Mrs. McCorkell concluded by saying: “These excellent results are the culmination of a great deal of hard work and effort by both the students and their teachers and on behalf of Warwick Academy, I would like to congratulate all involved.”
