Hilgroves Store To Close With Fashion Sale

August 26, 2014

After a successful two months at their Front Street location, Hilgroves pop-up consignment shop and auction house will be closing its doors at the end of August. Its final week will be marked with store-wide discounts on their designer imported fashion lines.

“It has been a fantastic experience,” said store owner Raj Tolaram. “Both locals and tourists alike have welcomed the presence of a store that offers unique goods in a fun environment.”

“Given the current challenges of the local retail environment, I was inspired to see what a pop-up store could offer. It has been a wonderful opportunity to test the market here in Bermuda.”

Hilgroves offers a range of high-end products, including antiques, local artwork, fine china, jewelry, and collectibles.

Mr. Tolaram commented that there is a need for a store like his in Hamilton, saying, “We have a lot to offer retail-wise in Bermuda, but Hilgroves is a store unlike any other. The eclectic mix of local and international pieces, combined with the consignment and auction elements, makes it a very special shopping experience.”

Hilgroves will be marking their closing week with further discounts on the already reduced prices of their designer fashion lines. The brands on offer include Missoni from Italy, Matthew Williamson from London, Andrew Gn, and Martin Grant from Paris.

“We want to go out with a bang,” said Mr. Tolaram. “Front Street has been good to us, and we want to thank everyone by offering our inventory at even greater reductions during our closing week.”

Hilgroves is located at 81 Front Street, next to Astwood Dickinson. Store hours this week are 10.00am to 5,00pm, with a grand closing auction date to be announced.
