46 Yr Old Pleads Not Guilty To Harassment

August 27, 2014

In Magistrates Court today [Aug 27], a 46-year-old man pleaded not guilty to harassing his ex-wife in violation of a court order to refrain from contact with her, as well as charges of causing damage to the reputation of another person.

Karl Outerbridge pleaded not guilty to one count of indirectly harassing his ex-wife in contravention of a court order to stay away from her, in accord with an order issued under Domestic Violence Order laws.

Mr. Outerbridge also pleaded not guilty to three other charges alleging that he caused damage to the reputation of another person, namely his ex-wife, via organizations including PRIDE, SCARS, and the Centre Against Abuse.

The allegations said that Mr. Outerbridge had emailed his ex-wife and the organization in August and had thereby contravened a Domestic Violence Order that had been issued by the court and that was in place for one calendar year.

Senior Magistrate Archie Warner granted Mr Outerbridge $2,000 bail and set trial for November 2014.
