Video: Bermuda Cruise Time-Lapse Departure

August 18, 2014

A time-lapse video recently shared online captures the departure of the cruise ship Norwegian Dawn as it leaves Dockyard and travels out into the Atlantic Ocean.

The video begins with a full minute of time-lapse footage that highlights general activity at the wharf, with boats of various sizes coming and going, foot traffic traversing the bridge below, and automobiles busying themselves in the distance.

During the video’s second minute, the footage focuses on the Norwegian Dawn leave port, seeing Dockyard disappear and the waters below are riled up by the ship’s passing.

The time-lapse nature of the video makes for uniquely enhanced scenery, with clouds moving and changing form unnaturally fast, before ending as the last visible area of the island disappears from view and the ship continues out onto the open water.

Bermuda Tourism are paid big bucks and they come up with NOTHING!

Go beyond New York,Boston,Atlanta and London,UK and ask if people know where Bermuda is.

Go to a Travel Agent in any major city in the UK and ask for brochures about Bermuda, they will say…”Where?”

  5. On de Hill says:

Begs the question what the PLP did for 14 years in tourism if nobody knows where Bermuda is and it also justifies the complete change in structure for how tourism is managed!

  6. The Guy says:

    They used a Gopro.

  7. I heart 441 says:

I don’t feel its a great video that will promote/enhance Bermuda simply because it doesn’t show much of what Bermuda has to offer.
Nice video but def not on the standard of what I’ve seen from other amateur videos of our Jewel in the Atlantic.
