Woman Denies Taking Cycle, Using False Plate

August 26, 2014

Appearing in Magistrates Court this morning [August 26], Stephanie Hollis  pleaded not guilty to taking a cycle without the owner’s consent; using a false licence plate; giving false information to the police; and riding a cycle whilst not covered by third party insurance.

Ms Hollis, 28, pleaded guilty to riding the same cycle on the same date, 11th August 2014, without a valid licence. All four alleged offences and the admitted offence involved the same cycle and all occurred on the same day.

Senior Magistrate Archie Warner set trial on the four not guilty pleas, and sentencing on the one guilty plea, for 27th November. The Magistrate granted Ms Hollis $2,000 bail and required her to provide a surety.
