St. David’s Cricket Club, Cleveland County, Baileys Bay, Western Stars, Flatts Victoria and PHC all recorded victories in this weekend’s First and Premier Division cricket action.

St. David’s Cricket Club Win by 81 Runs: St. David’s Cricket Club 185 Southampton Rangers 104

In a winner take all match at Lord’s in St. David’s, Southampton Rangers won the toss and sent the host to bat. St. David’s Cricket Club scored 185 all out, with George O’Brien the top scorer with 69, Derrick Brangman was the pick of the Southampton Rangers bowlers with figures of 9.1-1-18-5.

In reply Southampton Rangers were bowled all out for 104, Brangman and Shannon Raynor both scored 18 runs, O’Brien was the pick of the St. David’s Cricket Club bowlers with figures of 6-2-12-3, while Justin Pitcher bowled 5-0-26-3.

Cleveland County Win by 228 Runs: Cleveland County 320/4 St. George’s Cricket Club 92

At the Wellington Oval, this match saw the loser relegated and the winner set for a play-off, Cleveland County batted first and scored 320/4 in their allotted 50 overs, Treadwell Gibbons who hit the first delivery of the game for four was the top scorer with 135 not out, while Jason Anderson added 115. Ronald Gibbons was the pick of the St. George’s Cricket Club bowlers with figures of 9-0-54-2.

In reply the St. George’s Cricket Club were bowled all out for 92, Troy Hall was the top scorer with 25, while captain Allan Douglas Jr. was the pick of the Cleveland County bowlers returning figures of 10-2-21-4 and Gibbons bowled 3-2-3-3.

Bailey’s Bay Win by 8 Wickets: Somerset Cricket Club 122 Bailey’s Bay 99/2 – Rain Halts Play

At the Somerset Cricket Club, the home team batted first and were bowled all out for 122, Joshua Gilbert was the top scorer with 30, while Raul Khan added 23. Rodney Trott was the pick of the Bailey’s Bay bowlers with figures of 9-1-41-4 and Burton Outerbridge bowled 7-1-38-3.

In reply Bailey’s Bay reached 99/2 after 21.1 overs when rain halted play, Bailey’s Bay were declared the winners on run rate. Jermaine Usher was the top scorer with 27, Tre Mandes added 28. Tyshaun Brown returned figures of 3-0-7-1 for the Somerset Cricket Club and Kwase James bowled 6-1-22-1.

Western Stars win by 6 Wickets: Bermuda U17 210/4 Western Stars 211/4

At the St. John’s Field, the Bermuda Under 17 National Team wanted to end the season on a high note and spoil Western Stars’ promotion bid, but in the end, Western Stars have put the pressure on Flatt’s Victoria with this 6 wicket victory over the Bermuda Under 17 National team.

Batting first the Bermuda Under 17 National team scored 210/5 in their allotted 50 overs, Alex Dore was the top scorer with 120, while Amori Ebbin added 20, the pair shared a 103 run second wicket partnership. Brian Hall led the Western Stars bowing attack with figures of 10-5-28-2 and Seth Campbell bowled 7-0-29-2.

In reply Hall scored 76 not out as Western Stars reached their target scoring 211/4 in 35.3 overs. Wayne Campbell added 43. Cameron Jeffers returned figures of 9-0-51-2 for the Bermuda Under 17 National team.

Flatt’s Victoria Win by 9 Wickets: Somerset Bridge 56 Flatt’s Victoria 57/1

At the White Hill Field, Flatt’s Victoria were crowned the First Division Champions following their 9 wicket victory over Somerset Bridge. The home team won the toss and elected to bat, they were bowled all out for 56, Shawn Riley was the top scorer with 11, while Jahnoi Bean added 10. Chris Daley led the Flatt’s Victoria bowling attack with figures of 9-3-15-4, while Kijuan Franks bowled 7.4-2-7-3.

In reply Flatt’s Victoria scored 57/1 after 11.1 overs, captain Cofield Robinson was the top scorer with 30 not out, while Franks scored 20. Wayne Ball grabbed the lone wicket for Somerset Bridge returning figures of 2-0-9-1.

PHC Win by 49 Runs: PHC 134 Warwick Workmen’s Club 85

At the Southampton Oval, PHC batted first and were bowled all out for 132, Elsworth Bean was the top scorer with 53 before being run out, while captain Khiry Furbert added 35. San’j Dill was the pick of the Warwick Workmen’s bowlers with figures of 6-0-47-4, while Kameron Jeffers bowled 5-0-27-3.

In reply Warwick Workmen’s Club were bowled all out for 85, they were comfortably sitting at 77/2, but the bottom fell out. Lionel Cann was the top scorer with 58, Cal Waldron led the PHC bowling attack returning figures of 4-1-10-4 and Charles Symons bowled 2.2-1-2-3.
