BSoA To Screen “It’s Everybody’s Ocean”

The Bermuda Society of the Arts [BSoA] is getting set to screen It’s Everybody’s Ocean, a film that tells the story of how marine debris is affecting the people of a small Japanese island as they struggle with dealing with plastic pollution.

The documentary, produced by Atsuko Quirk, focuses on the island of Ikema, and was named the Best Documentary Short at the New York City International Film Festival in June 2014.

Overview of “It’s Everybody’s Ocean”:

The screening will take place on September 11 at 6.00pm on the top floor of City Hall in Hamilton, with tickets costing $15 each. A reception will begin at 5.30pm, along with a panel discussion with the Bermuda Marine Debris Task Force following the screening.
