Firm Advisory Ltd. To Host Workshops
Firm Advisory Ltd. announced they will be hosting a series of workshops – Transition Planning for Bermuda Business Owners – aimed at assisting local business owners with the human side of retirement and exiting their business.
The workshops will be led by STPI – the Successful Transition Planning Institute – out of Cambridge, Massachusetts and presented through their ‘Platinum Years’ brand. The Workshops will be preceded by 3 free webinars [September 16th, 23rd and 30th at 2pm].
Firm Advisory President, Kumi Bradshaw shared his enthusiasm for the workshops and the need that has been expressed by the local business community, “Over the past few years, we have had a number of clients who have struggled with the ‘human’ and ‘emotional stuff’ tied to exiting their business.
“Business brokers, valuation experts, accountants, lawyers and other professional service providers all have a role to play in the process of selling / exiting your business but we’re not specialists when it comes to transition planning.
“Because of this gap in the local business community, we’ve invited STPI and their Platinum Years brand to provide workshops for local business owners, particularly baby boomers who may be approaching retirement and think it will be a welcome opportunity for local business owners who may be thinking about exiting within the next 5 years or so.”
Workshop Details: The workshops will consist of:
- A ½ day workshop entitled “Finding Your New Owner for your Business for your Life – A guide to a new paradigm for Baby Boomer Business Owners”. This workshop will be held on October 9thfrom 1pm to 5pm. Workshop cost will be $299 and capacity is restricted to a maximum of 40 attendees.
- A 2 day workshop entitled “What’s Next for Your Future? How to avoid retirement remorse and ‘push start’ on a successful business and personal transition”. This workshop will be held from 9am to 5pm on October 10th and 11th.
Workshop cost will be $1099 and capacity is restricted to a maximum of 20 attendees.
