Football: PDL, First & Premier Division Results

In First, Premier and Premier Development League football action this weekend, the winners included X-Roads, Devonshire Colts, Boulevard Blazers, North Village Rams, Young Men Social Club, PHC Zebras, Robin Hood and Somerset Trojans.

Premier Development League: BAA 2 – St. George’s Colts 2

After a scoreless first half, Kolours Wolffe-Madeiros gave BAA the lead in the 48th minute, but two minutes later the St. George’s Colts were level when Kontai Burton scored.

In the 59th minute BAA went back in front when Akim Johnston scored, but in the 74th minute Burton scored again as the two teams played to a 2 – 2 draw.

First Division: Boulevard Blazers 5 – Ireland Rangers 1

At the Police Field, the Boulevard Blazers got a hat-trick from Dunn-ya Taylor as they defeated Ireland Rangers 5 – 1. Tiaevince Douglas added two goals for the Boulevard Blazers, while Johnathan Bean scored the lone goal for Ireland Rangers.

First Division: Young Men Social Club 2 – St. David’s 1

At the Bernard Park, visitors St. David’s went ahead in the 3rd minute through a goal from Jokai Fox, but Michael Smith equalized for Young Men Social Club when he found the back of the net in the 37th minute as the teams went to the break with the score 1 – 1.

In the second half only one goal was scored, which was a strike from Khylais Rawlins which earned Young Men Social Club all three points in their 2 – 1 win.

First Division: Somerset Eagles 2 – Paget Lions 2

At the White Hill Field, the Somerset Eagles and the Paget Lions played to a 2 – 2 draw. Darin Dowling and Kanhai Fray found the back of the net for Somerset Eagles, while Xavier James and Kenneth Matthie scored for the Paget Lions.

First Division: BAA 3 – X-Roads 3

In this First Division match at the BAA Field, the home team and X-Roads finished locked at 3 – 3. BAA held a 2 – 1 lead at the break after getting goals from Shentoine Lambert and Joshus DeSilva, while Tymon Daniels scored for X-Roads.

In the second half, X-Roads got goals from Damali Bell and Jamin Furbert, while DeSilva netted his second of the game, X-Road’ picked up their second point of the season, while BAA now have one point in the season.

First Division: Wolves 0 – Devonshire Colts 4

At the Devonshire Rec. the Devonshire Colts went to the top of the Division with a 4 – 0 win over Wolves. Eli Smith gave the Devonshire Colts the lead in the 28th minute, Kyle Jones doubled the lead in the 41st minute as the Devonshire Colts took a 2 – 0 lead into the break.

Jones scored his second goal of the game when his shot was deflected and ballooned over the goalkeeper and into the back of the net, a cross from the right saw Jones complete his hat-trick.

Premier Division: Flanagan’s Onions 2 – North Village Rams 4

Tyrell Burgess gave the North Village Rams the lead with a header at the back post in the 25th minute, a ball that was not cleared by the Flanagan’s defense and Burgess made now mistake from close range. Five minutes later Kieshen Bean doubled the lead, a through ball found Bean in space and his low right footed shot beat and advancing Flanagan’s goalkeeper. Minutes before the halftime break Flanagan’s were back in the game as Keston Lewis scored a header from a corner as the teams went to the break with the North Village Rams leading 2 – 1.

Jerome Bailey restored the North Village Rams two goal lead when he found the back of the net, but Flanagan’s substitute Vincent Minors pulled a goal back making it a one goal game 3 – 2. Bean would add his second of the game, and his team’s fourth, as they came away with the 4 – 2 victory.

Premier Division: Devonshire Cougars 0 – Hamilton Parish 0

At the Devonshire Rec, the home team came close to breaking the deadlock midway through the first half, when Hamilton Parish goalkeeper Nigel Burgess made a pin point save from some six yards out, however neither Devonshire Cougars nor Hamilton Parish was able to beat the opposing goalkeeper in their 0-0 draw.

Premier Division: PHC Zebras 4 – Dandy Town Hornets 1

At the Southampton Oval, Shakir Smith gave the PHC Zebras the lead in the 13th minute, Smith doubled the PHC Zebras lead when he scored in the 22nd minute. Eight minutes later it was 3 – 0 to the PHC Zebras as Kadeem Abraham scored a header. The Dandy Town Hornets were able to pull a goal back before the half time break when Clay Darrell found the back of the net in the 41st minute.

PHC Zebras restored their three goal lead when Lonnie Bascome scored in the 69th minute to make the score 4 – 1 a lead that would stand when the final whistle was blown.

Premier Division: Robin Hood 3 – Southampton Rangers 0

At the BAA Field, Robin Hood scored twice in the first half and once in the second as they defeated the Southampton Rangers 3 – 0. Antwan Russell opened the scoring in the 8th minute when he scored from the penalty spot, Jake Fox doubled the lead six minutes later as Robin Hood took their 2 – 0 lead into the break. Russell scored again in 63rd minute to earn Robin Hood the three points.

Premier Division: St. George’s Colts 1 – Somerset Trojans 3

At the Wellington Oval, the St. George’s Colts took an early lead when Macai Simmons scored from the penalty spot, but the joy was short lived as the Somerset Trojans drew level from an own goal. The visiting Somerset Trojans went ahead midway through the first half when Trevin Ming scored from a header, they would hold that lead going into the break.

Four minutes into the second half, Jensen Rogers found the back of the net to make the score 3 – 2 to the Somerset Trojans and with no further goals in the game the West Enders leave the East End with all three points.
