Golf: Bermuda Now In 33rd Position In Japan

The 2014 World Amateur Team Championships continues in Karuizawa, Japan, with Bermuda being represented by the team of Jarryd Dillas, Will Haddrell and Mark Phillips

Bermuda got off to a good start reaching -7 as a team on the front nine before cooling off as the weather closed in. Jarryd Dillas was fortunate to complete his round with a (-1) 70 just before play was suspended. Will Haddrell was short of the 18th green at (+1) at the time, while the third team member Mark Phillips was on #17 at (+7) for the day.

Round 2 is now complete and one to forget for Mark Phillips who bogeyed his final two holes after the weather delay to finish with a +9 score of 80. Will Haddrell got up and down on #18 for a +1 round of 72 to add to Jarryd Dillas’ round of (-1) 70 for an even par total for the day and (-2) total for the event. Bermuda is now lying in 33rd position overall.
