Photos: Surfers Hit The South Shore Beaches

September 17, 2014

Hurricane Edouardo is churning away in the Atlantic and as it passed hundreds of miles off the island yesterday [Sept 16] it caused some impact on Bermuda’s waters, creating ideal conditions for the island’s surfers and attracting them to the South Shore beaches to hit the curling surf and ride them into the beach.

As of this morning, the U.S. National Hurricane Centre said that Hurricane Edouardo is about 575 miles to the east-north-east of Bermuda, and the Bermuda Weather Service said the hurricane is not a threat to Bermuda, with the closest point having passed.
