Why bother asking ? Who among us is going to risk their life getting involved in whats no doubt some gangbanger war. Crime Stoppers maybe ….but seriously ? until the village that these people come from, steps up…and I mean Momma, Pops (if they are in view) and all the family and friends….this is going to go on and on and on and on…

  2. more than enough says:

    Cameras not working here either?

    • Creamy says:

Why would you think that? Because they ask if anyone was an eye witness? You think that means the cameras were not working? They have a bunch of people in custody. Eye witnesses might help the case.

    • duh says:

In case nobody knows this but the cameras up st monicas road have dvds in them thats why they never work noone checks them… but the ones in the city have full time monitoring and again not good recoring methods… Sad!

  3. more than enough says:

Or is everyone on paid leave?

  4. Datbye says:

First, where is the CCTV, Sec. Bermuda seems to be getting worst day by day. I’m so sad for our country. I don’t think ill ever come back to live. The island as a whole needs to get back to how it was back in the early 70′s to the 80′s at least we stuck together and there was far less violence and cowards.

  5. boogiedownproductions says:

one wonders why most bloggers keep quiet when certain things are said or done. You all complained for a hot minute about the cctv cameras guess now its of nonmore interest to you. Yes make a little noise and go sleep. Real talk we pay for them and need to know why this company is still holding us ramson by not having them working properly. Guess the Minister of Public Safety and the Police Commissioner have no interest in them so its a waste of OUR money.

    • hmmm says:

So everytime something happens, an announcement is needed that the CCTV cameras were working ??????????

Witness evidence together with the footage solidifies a case.

  6. Rick Olson says:

Do we want camera’s everywhere every street and Lane and Ally way ?

  7. ComeOnBermuda says:

I heard the altercation was all over a gold chain… pretty sad.

  8. front brake only says:

I would expect that the cameras are working all around the city and if the night operators were not sleeping than they should be pointing and zooming towards areas that have crowds gathering and given the amount of fights and robberies at this place that they know by now to watch certian areas at certain times with some real vigilance and should have more than enough footage

  9. Common Sense says:

Sadly, we have some full crazy young men in our community who sometimes do full crazy things such as shooting at each other. Yes, CCTV cameras can help in compiling evidence but the Police don’t have a magic ray gun to stop people speeding around. What is needed is to stop criticizing the Police and start providing them with assistance and information so that we can all travel safely and sleep safely in our beds.

The Police are doing their utmost to bring these gang members to justice and have had a series of successfull prosecutions in the last couple of years. They will be even more successful if all those people who know who is doing what would come forward and provide the information to put the culprits behind bars.

  11. Always Watching says:

It is unfortunate that we do keep silent when this type of sensless criems happen. Trust me, if the culprits knew they where going to be told on thay would think twice.

Come on Bermuda lets take our country back from this little thugs who have no respect for themselves or others.
