Sailing: Granaway Deep Fitted Dinghy Results

The final round of the Bermuda Fitted Dinghy Association’s 2014 season racing was held in the Granaway Deep this weekend.

Challenger II skippered by Owen Siese won the 400th Anniversary Cup over Contest III skippered by Peter Miller, while Victory IV skippered by Mark Soares won the Jubilee Cup defeating Elizabeth II skippered by Jon Nicholls.

Challenger II had a good day winning the RHADC Cup and Whitney Cup races as well, Contest III finished second in both races, while Victory IV finished third twice. Elizabeth II did not make it to the start line for either race.

    Sandy’s Boat Club had a very good day!!! I use to sail in the original Challenger as the (bail boy) back in the 60′s with Hartley Watlington and Francis Patterson at the “tiller”!!! Sometimes *Chummy Flood* as well!!
