Smith & Cooper Compete In Ironman In Quebec

Karen Smith and Heather Cooper both Sunday’s [Sept 7] Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Mont Tremblant, Quebec, Canada, which saw the athletes compete in the 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike, and 13.1-mile run course.

Karen Smith finished 8th in the 45-49 age group after completing the 1.2 mile swim in 30.41, finishing the 56 mile bike portion in 2.39.26, and then recording a time of 1.42.57 secs for the 13.1 mile run for a total time of 4.59.54.

Heather Cooper competed in 50 – 54 Age Group Category, finishing 64th with a time of 6:14:30. Cooper came out of the water in a time of 36:37, she then clocked 3:09:07 on the bike, before closing out with a time of 2:18:31 on the run course.
